A perfect Itinerary to Ronda

The small town of Ronda, located in the Spanish state of Andalusia, is one of the most fascinating towns in the world. As one of the oldest villages in Spain, it is also the starting point for the magical Route of the White Villages. The city is divided in two by the impressive El Tajo gorge. In addition, the town borders on the south-western edge of a hundred metre high cliff, so Ronda also offers a wonderful view of the Andalusian landscape.
Ronda is an extremely popular day trip, especially for travellers in Andalusia, but to avoid the tourist crowds and to experience the magic in the dark, it is worth spending at least one night in Ronda.

Here in this blog you will find all the information you need to organise your trip to Ronda perfectly.

Things to do

Ponte Nuevo

The main attraction in Ronda is without a doubt the Puerto Nuevo bridge. Over 120 metres deep, you can look down into the gorge and the Rio Guadalevin. The gorge is around 70 metres wide and 500 metres long. It divides the city of Ronda into two parts, with El Mercadillo, the more modern part of the city, on the northern side and La Ciudad, the old town built in the 15th century, on the southern side.
However, the best activity in Ronda is not just to stand on the bridge, but to see the size of the bridge from different angles.
